So you decided to click on the butterfly . . . good for you! Here are a few nuggets of trivia as a reward for your curiosity!

The original of this icon was a familiar sight for many years to the DOS WordPerfect users of the world. It has been re-sized, animated, and made transparent for use here, as well as on other pages developed by Phoenix Computing.

The butterfly is a male "Blue Morpho" (morpho anaxibia), which is found in tropical South America. The wings of the females are more rounded in outline, and have a red-gold margin. The undersides of the wings of most members of the Morphid family are brown, with scattered eye-spots. This coloration forms an effective camouflage for the butterfly when it is resting in the thickets.
